Hey,  sis! How are you?

No – like REALLY. How are you? Take a quick inventory.

  • How do you feel – mentally, emotionally and spiritually?
  • Are you well? Is your cup overflowing? Or is it dry?

Perhaps it’s time to love on yourself a bit.

I want to share a fun idea I came up with, and I hope you’ll join me.  But first let me tell you a story… it may resonate with you.

I’ve been having one of those seasons – running at breakneck speed for most of the year. Perhaps you’ve noticed. My confession is this: in addition to being a super achiever, I am also a bit of an adrenaline junkie. This is a terrible combination.  Especially when the work is something you are passionate about.

Let me be clear – I am not complaining! I am so blessed and fortunate to be able to live out my dreams and contribute in a way that fulfills me passionately, But I also get to choose and be responsible with myself, in spite of the passion.

The gift I received these past two weekends was taking time out with some truly amazing women. As you may know, I co-hosted a women’s retreat. We laughed. We cried. We unloaded some stuff. We connected. I was reminded of the importance of self-care. But I was also working all weekend as one of the hosts. So, I was wiped when it was done. But oh-so elated at what was shared and created!

This past weekend I participated in the I am Woman conference hosted by one of my mentors., Sylvia High. She is truly amazing, and collected an unbelievable lineup of powerhouses to pour into us.  I was on the other end this time, and got to soak in the inspiration. I got to spend some time thinking about myself and my journey. And I got to really listen to the voice that has been nagging at me for weeks. “Girl – you’ve GOT TO SLOW DOWN.” But it’s been good stuff – so I just want more, more, more – just like the girl in the AT&T commercial.

But I decided that I am actually in control of the pace of my life. Thanks to my fellow coaches at our retreat, I recommitted to exercise, and was reminded of the power of meditation. At the I am Woman conference, I re-examined some of my beliefs about power, achievement and chose to trade the title “super achiever” in for the more inspiring and liberating “super creator”. And now I get to decide what that looks like in my day to day life.

On my flight home, I decided to offer a free self-care challenge. We’ll launch in my Facebook group, the Just Do You Sisterhood. I’m putting the pieces together, and we’ll get started this month. Here’s a link to join the community if you are not already a member. You’ll love it – this is a group of fun, enlightened and powerful women. They inspire me! https://www.facebook.com/groups/488369058001544/

No matter what, my prayer for you is that you get that YOU MATTER, and that you are worth loving and taking care of yourself. You are PRICELESS!

Hope to see you soon!

Much love,
