As of today, there are 100 days left in the year. We coaches use this as a window of time to encourage others to embrace the remaining time in the year and accomplish a goal they had set.

However, as a chronic A type/multi-tasker/overachiever, this time I’m going to shift my message a bit. You see, this year, with the book and all – and some cool opportunities that come my way, I have been a bit overwhelmed. So I decided to pare things down a bit. Some who know me well may be a bit astonished at this – but yes – it’s real.  Here are a few examples:

  • I’ve been on hiatus from my monthly blog talk radio show, Career Talk with Coach Trina. I recently decided to extend that through the end of the year and start 2018 with a bang. It felt good to let that go for a minute.
  • After 10 years, I decided that this will be my LAST YEAR to participate in the Avon39 as a walker. It’s been an incredible run, and I will still find ways to contribute to finding a cure for breast cancer – but I can choose different ways to contribute. I am seeking donations for this year – so if you are so moved – please help me reach my 10,000 goal! Thanks in advance for your support.   Donate here.
  • After releasing the paperback version of my book, I was all in a rush to launch the Kindle version. I decided to give myself some time and space – to enjoy the success of the launch without rushing to the next thing. We’ll be launching the kindle version in October – and I’ll need your help to get to Amazon Best Seller status!

But enough about me. The point here is that you are in control of your life. You can decide what to focus on. And if you are like me, feeling a bit overwhelmed, give yourself permission to dial it back and focus on what really matters.

MY CHALLENGE TO YOU… PICK ONE THING. JUST ONE.

What ONE THING would create the most impact in your life?

Is it a health goal like exercising more?

Or are you finally ready to launch that business or write that book?

Do you want to simplify your life (physically, emotionally, or otherwise)?

Or s it time to move on from a job or relationship that is no longer serving you?

CHOOSE ONE THING that will make a difference for you. All you need to do today is choose. And decide one step you can take in the coming days to move closer to that goal. You see, sometimes we make things too complicated. We want to create elaborate plans, studies, and discuss it with everyone else. All these things delay action.

Choose. Then act. Then keep moving. It’s as simple as that.

LET’S GET TO WORK!   Much love, Trina
